Founder: Amit Kale
Amit
Kale has been hacking the Linux Kernel since he got his first set of
Slackware distribution floppies in 1996. He has lived through the days
when installing Linux required you to be a guru with a lot of patience.
Amit is a guru and has the capability of spending hours and days working
at a problem until he finds a solution. Amit started the Linux Kernel
Debugger (KGDB) project on sourceforge.net. He is the lead maintainer of
KGDB and is fondly known as the "KGDB guy" in the Linux community. He
has enhanced the debugger to add features, support for 5 different
architectures and extensive documentation.
Amit did his stint with
corporations. Amit worked with TimeSys Corporation adding specialized
debugging tools to TimeSys Linux distribution. The innovative debugging
features help TimeSys differentiate their distribution in the crowded
embedded Linux market. Prior to that, at VERITAS Software Corporation,
he led the group implementing VERITAS Linux FileSystem version 4.0.
Amit founded LinSysSoft
Technologies in 2004 with a vision of helping enterprises adopt Linux by
